It’s FRIDAY!!!!!! And that means it’s time for the weekend to get started. Don’t worry, we won’t tell your boss. Officially summer doesn’t start until June 21st, but the hell with that! The weather is great and there are car shows, races, and road trips to do! So what are you doing this weekend? Are you going to a show? A race? Both? Road trip? How about wrenching on your junk so you can go to one of the above?
Let us know…What Hot Rod or Racing Stuff Are You Doing This Weekend?
Just got my little truck back from having a brake issue I was having a hard time with, solved. It was selected for a story in Hot Rod Magazine’s “Rescue Repair”, which is pretty cool. So Saturday there’s a small Cruise-In in Bowling Green I think I’ll take one of the grandkids to. The truck is just a beater daily driver, a 1980 Plymouth Arrow pickup with a 360/904/narrowed 8.75 rear in it. It’s a Work in Progress…gonna be lots of fun when its finished though.
Thinking of going to a HotRod&Custom meeting in Herten, Germany.
But there’s also a Saturday Night Cruiseshow in my hometown in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Sunday will probably be spend installing a new Borgeson Powersteeringbox in the Dodge Dart.
Heading out to the Super Chevy Show at Famoso Drag Strip
Gonna beat on the Mustang….2 day Bracket Race at Maple Grove.
Going to the CHP nationals tomorrow, just
up the road in Commerce GA
Going over to the street drags at the local strip tonight. Then tomorrow I’ll be putting the body back on the my 55 Plymouth and whatever else I cna get done with it.
I will be thinking about installing nitrous on my S-10. T hat is all I can do is think about doing it as I like many other gear heads are currently deployed to the Middle East sweating in the desert so you all can enjoy the local cruise in, show, races or whatever suits your fancy. Will just have to wait awhile before I can enjoy those things again
Thank you for your service!!
We all appreciate your sacrifices for us. Stay safe over there.
I will hopefully finish the head swap on the Caprice’s 454 this weekend.

The joys of having youngins.
Since I just moved down to NC 3 months ago, been setting up my garage to work on my 9C1’s.
Cars & Coffee in Irvine tomorrow early morning, then Steve McQueen/Boys Republic Car Show the rest of the day in Chino Hills.
Going to Jerry Coleman’s house for a pre power tour power tour party tonight and then going to check out all the power tour activites at Arlington tomorrow.
Fiddle with the carb on the 67. That thing hates me.
Mopars in the park in Minnesota, finally get to order my custom power brake booster from The Ram Man.
Drove from St. Louis to Arlington today (Dallas traffic sucks btw) to start the Power Tour tomorrow.
mine’s an annoying one…my car runs on LPG (propane) and in Australia your tank has to be inspected every 10 years – and I just noticed mine has just run out…soo…either get mine tested at a cost up around $400 or find another one with a few years left in it. Just missed out on one for $25 that still had 6 years to go…aargh.
Theres nothing worse than having to do work on a car that’s running perfectly fine. My gas system has no issues at all, but because of a legalese thing I have to rip out a perfectly good component to replace it….
