BangShift Question Of The Day: What Would You Do With This Racing Junk Find J-79 Jet Engine?

BangShift Question Of The Day: What Would You Do With This Racing Junk Find J-79 Jet Engine?

Calling on a jet engine must be super cool. I mean just saying “Yeah, I’m calling about the jet engine you have for sale?” LOL That would rule all! I totally want this. I don’t know what I would do with it, other than bolting it to my back patio and lighting off the afterburner at parties, but I would think of something. If you think for a second that you wouldn’t be eating great BBQ from the ass end of this thing at my house as well, you are crazy.

Hell, I would probably build some kind of cage around it so that the thing was pretty self contained and then just buy junk cars to attach it to for fun. Who’s in?!

I can think of about 100 more cool things to do with a jet engine of your own, but we want to hear from you.

What would you do with this J-79 Jet Engine?

Since J-79’s were used in F-4 Phantoms, you’d better bolt it to more than your patio lest you and the Wright Bros. will have something in common!

suddenly I remember the episode of Tailspin where Balou and Wildcat are tasked with delivering a jet engine.

Put it on a railroad sled and run on a several miles long line of abandoned railroad that happens to be in my town.

On second thought, maybe I’d put it in that 72 Imperial behind the shop that I’ve been intending to do something with for the last 10 year. And then go racing.
