We can all recall some moment in our young hot rodding lives when we saw some magical offering out of Detroit that just grabbed us because of the killer graphics running down the side, over the hood, or across the back. We can also remember a time when some factory offering was so hideous as to cause almost instant projectile vomiting. These are the moments that inspired today’s BangShift Question of the Day. Were you completely turned on by Hemi graphics? Or was it the Trans Am, with it’s giant Firebird on the hood that did it for you? Or maybe you are an AMC Rebel fan? All of those are cool, but we know there are a ton more out there you just loved as a kid, and still think are the coolest ever. The ones that make you feel like you are recovering from a long night of drinking are just as memorable, unfortunately. Remember Ford’s King Cobra Mustang II? Or how about Dodge’s Little Red Express Trucks?
It’s time for you to decide BangShifters. What’s the Best Factory Installed Graphics Package, and the Worst Factory Installed Graphics Package?
And don’t be shy! If you think the King Cobra was the BEST, say so. We aren’t going to judge you. Well, maybe a little, but it’s anonymous, so go for it.

The ’78 King Cobra’s decals were certainly better than the 1979 King Cobra.

My favorite would be the ’79-’81 Trans Ams.
The black and gold (aka Bandit) decal package. A little too gaudy.
83-88 Monte Carlo SS were a bit much even though I’m a big fan of those cars. I removed them on my cars.
I liked the Spirit of America package by Chevy. Also the Hang 10 graphics on the Mopars.
Levi branded anything.
^^ WORST
Roadrunner = best
the Levi Wrangler with Denim seats!
70-71 Torino GT and Cobra laser stripe are great, still remember the first time I saw one and I still want one 27 years later
Roadrunner hands down the best.
Yes! Also make sure it has an Air Grabber Hood so when it opens you can see the grimacing teeth, its classic.
I agree with the Levi Branded stuff being bad, but the Super Jeep graphics were pretty terrible as well.
For best, I’m gonna stick with a Jeep theme – I really dig the 72ish CJ5 Renegade 1 package (just the really early, where it was a pastel color with the simple black stripe that said Renegade).
The best = The 71 Cuda quarter panel, specially a black on black car, followed by the 70 Cuda hockey sticks
The worst = Tie between the Tans Am chicken and the King Cobra whatever it’s supposed to be.
I’m with you on this one!
75Duster
your user name made me remember the graphics on the swinger that was ? ? “?” what can you say ?
I’m not dissing the duster !
but the swinger had god awful graphic package
Best- S/C Rambler
Worst- Mustang II King Cobra
Best…….. Dodge Super Bee
Worst……… 75 Buick Pace Car
I’m a light truck guy, I loved the Ivan Stewart Toyotas, Dodge Warlocks, and Scout Rallye package (esp in orange), worst, Jeep Golden Eagle package, especially on the pickups, but the Honcho package was cool.
The Dodge Mid-nite Express was pretty cool.
Best – 1969 Yenko Camaro and Chevelle
Worst – 197? Volare Roadrunner
torn between 71 challenger r/t, or 70 aar cuda.
with on the best AAR cuda
1979 Power Wagon one of the coolest truck aesthetic packages for me.
The dodge ” Warlock ” was pretty cool

for my money, pretty much any “official pace car” graphics—can’t think of any that really add anything positive to a cars appearence
Best: 77′ Trans AM SE, and the Dodge macho and power wagon trucks from the 70s
Worst: AMC Spirit AMX, It had a flaming AMX on the hood, worst attempt at firebird cloning ever, at least the Cobra Mustang II looked like a good trans am tribute
