In our dream world, we would have a funny car or dragster hanging on the wall or from the ceiling in our dream garage. Of course that implies a big enough space and tall enough ceilings to pull it off. I guess if I had my dream there would be a dragster standing against one wall and a funny car on the other. You know, to get all of them covered, we really would need another dozen cool cars, but for the sake of today’s question we’ll just stick with Funny Car vs Dragster.
So which would you choose? Funny Car or Dragster?
Fuel Altered!!!!
Vintage funny car.
I would love to drive a vintage fueler. But funny cars are more flamboyant .However for a conversation piece .I would have to go with Steve a fueled altered would look killer setting on a rack above my work bench
You mean between those two pictured? Why the classic Beebe & Mulligan fuel rail, of course! You can find nostalga funny cars all day on racing junk for sale but not a historic rail.
Roland Leong’s Hawaiian AA/FD that is stuck in Europe someplace. It would in at home in my office in Honolulu!!!
have the 50 yr old gilmore rail, just need a 50 yr old funny car next to it.
Fuel Altered. They just have that old school hot rod/race car thing going for me.
Funny car!
I agree with Chad, but to pick between dragster or funny car (that’s a tough choice) we would choose funny car. If we had both Chad could drive either and I would drive the other when someone else was not driving. Unless it was a fuel coupe it would be difficult at best to drive both so we would need another driver. If we were talking static display in the garage we could fit and clean a dragster easier though.
Tony Nancy or Tommy Ivo Fueler if limited to West rides. The Jade Grenade or King & Marshall if East coast!
Based on the example pics, the dragster and it’s not even close. I love a good looking Funny Car, it unless it’s a real-deal historic piece, the FED wins every time.
Of course a funny car instead of the dragser, because you can drive it on the street more discrete 😉 haha
Ill take Warren Johnsons bad ass Olds with a proper pro stock scoop on it.
local eatery used to have and burnt crashed Force F/C on the roof , but I’d have to go with one of the dual engine rails Freight Train ?
I’d want Robert Anderson’s SPE chassied FED – the last one he owned in 1970……or the Keeling & Clayton show n’ go FED.
If it had to be a vintage funny car, I’d want anything that John Buttera built during his heyday……like the 1971 Blue Max Mustang that Tharp drove. Just a piece of artwork.
Dale
1971 Castronovo Custom Auto Body Mini Charger FC. Love that car! IF it’s still around call me. I can be in Utica in one day.
