Would You Drive It? A Casket Bodied Roadster Ala Drag-U-La…Sorta

Would You Drive It? A Casket Bodied Roadster Ala Drag-U-La…Sorta

When we saw this one on Ebay, we couldn’t help but giggle. There is something cool about it, while also being disturbing of course. The thought of a coffin or casket bodied roadster makes us immediately think of the Drag-U-La from the Munsters, but it’s the thought that we could actually buy this one and then take it down the track that is weird to us. The thing looks to be built pretty nicely, although a few things like the scoop and front wheels would have to go. It’s powered by a 400 horse small block, and backed by a Turbo 400, is made from a real steel casket and, according to the owner, drives great. With that said, are we the only ones that think it’s a little strange to make a pass IN A COFFIN? Is that tempting fate? Or thumbing your nose at it?

Ultimately, the question is one that only you can answer.

Would you drive it?

Didn’t Grandpa Munster drive something like that in one of the episodes of “The Munsters”?

It does look like it’s tempting fate… by running motorcycle tires. Still, I’d be glad to run a couple quarter mile passes in that thing.
