I know that the answer to this for Brian is a resounding “Hell Yes!”, because it is not only a tracked vehicle but also a Studebaker tracked vehicle which just makes it weird, and therefore fitting for Brian. I’m not expecting any of you to actually drive this thing to work, given that it was built in 1945 as a personnel and cargo carrier for the US Army, but am more after your thoughts on the mashing of two vehicles together. I happen to think this one is cool as hell, and am also a fan of TRARS and such. But, as you have seen on many occasions here at BangShift.com, there are folks who think taking a new car and some old sheetmetal are a good thing and we just don’t agree. But what about things like this VW Bus that has been slid over the top of this tracked Studebaker?
Do you think that’s cool? Would you drive it?

I’d definitely take it. Where it drive the thing who knows. the farmers around here would probably frown on it.
I’d jump it through a trailer like those guys yesterday
Looks comfier than the original.
Both.
I could use it here on the farm. I’d be great for carring the grandyoungins around.
i would drive it every chance i got! i think it is great and if i had the dollars would build one like it.
x2 on the resounding HELL YES!
I’d SO drive it!
And probably take it to (insert local sand dune OHV place) and charge $100 a pop to tow/pull anyone out who gets stuck.
I have no idea how to drive a Weasel… but I’d certainly try.
Heck yeah. There used to be one with an Astro van body on it in Elk River Idaho years ago, last time I was there I didn’t see it. Wonder where it went.
it would be perfect for massachusetts winters
I know where this thing is. Saw it last time i visited the parents. Also, hell yes I’d drive it!
