Barn Finds kick ass. I mean come on, finding an old car that hasn’t moved in decades, stuffed away somewhere like a barn or garage, is like unearthing Native American artifacts for an American history buff. Or finding an Egyptian tomb for some archaeologists. They probably wouldn’t agree, but we don’t really care, because we know that the folks over at Auto Archaeology would agree with us and that’s all that matters. In this video you’ll see the documented removal of a 1969 Camaro from a barn full of stuff. It’s a project, not a complete car, and it is rough in so many ways. But it sure is kick ass!
The rear quarters are cut out for flares, the front end is gone, it has huge wide wheels on it, and a big meatball on the side. Sounds like a win to us. And apparently it hasn’t moved in 40 years until this particular day. One other thing that is cool is the fact that there are some really cool parts that you’ll see in the background of this video. We see what may be the original 1969 bucket seats, multiple small block Chevrolets, other Camaro fenders, and more.
The barn the car was located in is clearly located where a “collector” of all kinds of junk that we love has been collecting all kinds of stuff for decades.

This was a race car almost since new. Looks like this story has been around long enough for it to change. It was at Carlise this year in the ‘barn find’ section. There has also been a number of recent magazine articles about it.
The next time NYC dredges up a rusty hulk from the harbor I should buy it and enter it as a “barn find”…The Camaro doesn’t deserve any attention because it never was.
There comes a time when a car, no matter
how rare, special, sought after, etc is junk. This is one of those times. And all those other barn treasures that sat next to this hulk for 40 yrs are scrap too.
