I met Mike Galimi in a dive bar near Milan Dragway a few years ago now and, despite his Yankee accent, thought he was pretty cool dude from the get go. He knew how to drink, played pool okay, and was all into drag racing, so the only fault I could find was his love of all things Ford. (Remember, I’m a Chevy guy at heart.) Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Galimi on several occasions, and he has even helped us out on some stuff here at BangShift.
Today we got the official word that Galimi is going to be the new Editor of Race Pages Magazine. ProMedia LLC, made the announcement today, although we’ve known it’s been coming for a couple weeks, and we couldn’t be happier. Race Pages is the official print publication of the NMRA and nobody knows that scene better than Galimi. He has been working with NMRA and NMCA both in and out of Race Pages for some time now, but when the NMRA decided they needed someone to concentrate on it more heavily there was nobody better than Galimi.
Our most sincere congratulations to Galimi and to the guys at Race Pages, who couldn’t have picked anyone better for the job.
