Anthony Castillo strikes again with this awesome instrumental titled “Flamin’ Eddie’s Dragstrip”. The video is cool cause it was shot at the Purple Orchid in El Segundo, California which is a cool little place if you like live music. And while the band is super duper talented and knows how to play the surf/drag/rockabilly style instrumentals, it’s their drummer’s ability to drive a drag car that we like. No offense Surfer Dave and the rest of the band. We dig you guys too.
The drummer is none other than Jeff Utterback, former driver of the Pisano & Matsubara Vega Nostalgia Funny Car. He currently works over at Estrus Racing in Santa Fe Springs, which is around the corner from Hotchkis. What a small world right?
