Whether you like country, western, or both, everyone knows this song. Written for the soundtrack of Honeysuckle Rose, it became a huge hit and is the theme song so to speak for Willie Nelson. In 1982 I spent a month driving across the United States with my Parents and Grandparents on a trip centered around the World’s Fair in Knoxville Tennessee. Like magic, this song seemed to play at all the right times, and I’ll never forget it. Life in a Pace Arrow motorhome for over a month, seeing the country and singing Willie. It was greatness.
