When Jason Greenwood oiled down the track at the National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green last month, the first thing he saw once he wiped the oil from his visor in the shutdown area was the smiling face of our own Charles Wickam. Poor bastard. Soon after that he got see ALL the oil from his Brad Andersen powered machine out on the track and all over his car. And when we say all over, we mean it. The cool thing was Jason’s attitude about the whole thing. In fact, he encouraged Charles to snap photos and that’s why we have this great series of photos for you to caption. Hell, even the team got into it.
Apparently on the run something broke in the valvetrain and then pressurized the crankcase and pushed all the oil and some parts out of the engine, but we don’t know the specifics. What we are sure of is that Donnie and the crew at the track were really happy that Jason was also going to spend some time cleaning since they had to do a track cleanup.
Check out the photos below. The first is the “BEFORE” photos. You can figure out the rest.
