Wanna Roll Like The Colonel? This 1979 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Is Former Property Of The Face Behind KFC!

Wanna Roll Like The Colonel? This 1979 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Is Former Property Of The Face Behind KFC!

Does anybody outside of The Brougham Society look at a 1979 Cadillac Eldorado and think, “Oh, man, I’ve gotta have that! I don’t care what the price is, I’ll pay it, just sell me that car! It’s gorgeous!” No, I don’t think so. Maybe a 1969 Eldorado, but not a 1979. An overstuffed front-driver, the eighth-gen Eldorado might have shrunk from it’s previous roots, but make no mistake, it was still a big car, and still full-on malaise material to the core. You can almost see the AARP mailers filling your mailbox when you get too close to one. But there’s a fan for every car, and who knows? Maybe there’s a reader out there who might look at this brick of a Caddy and might have an interest. Or maybe we have to grab eleven herbs and spices to wick up this deal.

Harland David Sanders is a former owner of this white Eldorado Biarritz. Col. Harland Sanders is also famous for one other thing: chicken in a bucket. The creator and face of Kentucky Fried Chicken is reported to be an owner, with the seller boasting that the title still has his name. Interesting enough, though most of the listing is kind of shot. The car doesn’t look completely sorted in the photographs, with the lower dash removed and sitting on the bench and the arm rest on the driver’s side having been worn through. But that isn’t to say there isn’t hope for the Caddy…maybe you want to have a little more of the Colonel in your home than a ten-piece family meal, or maybe you just want a cruiser with some history. Whatever your pleasure, but please…refrain from celebrating with chicken in the car. That would just be unsavory.
