Shabby Sporty: Junkyard Digs and Pole Barn Garage Team Up To Bring This Rusty Chevrolet Back From The Dead

The 1973-1991 GM “squarebody” trucks are one of the best options for project vehicle out there right now. With tens of millions of them made throughout the long production cycle, many variations that will suit just about anyone’s needs, and an aftermarket that is all but throwing parts at consumers, why wouldn’t you build one? Even a rusted tin can like this rare 1977 “Sport” version of a K10 Stepside can be put back together if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Originally, this truck was yet another rusty hulk that Kevin from Junkyard Digs dragged home with a great plan in mind. But over time, he decided that the Chevrolet would be better off in the hands of Dalton, the man behind Pole Barn Garage on YouTube. After seeing what he was able to do with a 1970 Pontiac GTO that had been used as the backstop for a gun range (or something to that effect), Kevin suspected that he’d be the perfect owner to take care of the truck that Da Yoopers sang about in “Rusty Chevrolet”.
