Supra-Powered Corvette. Yup, Here It Is…Because How Can You Argue With 1100 Horsepower?

Hey, look at the bright side, folks: it isn’t another LS swap! Nope, instead we have one of the heavy hitters from the land of the rising sun sitting inside this clean Corvette, where a 572ci monster was sitting: a heavily boosted Toyota 2JZ inline-six. Hey, you can’t be that mad: the 2JZ has been proven to make top-tier power figures with the right kind of work and if you can’t get past the Fast and Furious stigma, a bunch of sand dune runners in the Middle East and power-hungry Aussies can’t be wrong…they love these things! Besides, after hearing V8 after V8 scream down the strip, isn’t it about time that you heard something else? Something pressurized and pissed off, doing the same kind of work? You can’t knock the power figure, you can’t knock the build (looks like it was meant to be there, doesn’t it?) and be honest with yourself: if you got the opportunity to get behind the steering wheel, you’d jump for it in half a second.

So was the 572 swapped into the Supra?

I hope the swap was done as well as this – and the builder/driver used such a fine attention to detail. Full marks for originality and thinking outside the LS box!

I mean, it’s hard to argue with the performance numbers and I suppose it’s fair turnabout for all the V8-swapped imports.
