There’s nothing wrong with the Ford Fiesta ST. It can run up to 197 horsepower if you get into “overboost” mode, is small and nimble, and at 2,700 pounds, is a lightweight among new cars. We’ve seen them rule on autocross courses, but on drag strips, we haven’t really seen many FiSTs appear except for the occasional stocker that is being driven by a guy who just wanted to see what his new car would do. Well, if you give the Fiesta a shot, it can do plenty. Tweak the turbocharger, make a few adjustments here and there and soon, you can go hunting like a pro. Stock, they’ve been clocked at 14.9 seconds in the quarter, which is pretty respectable for a B-car. But when you’re lining up against the typical fare at a test and tune, 14.9 isn’t going to get you anywhere. A [email protected], on the other hand, is perfect for humbling the Mustangs and Camaros that thought they had easy pickins…
