Classic YouTube: Watch This Twin-Engined Ford Play In The Mud!

Before LS swaps, monster Mopar mills and Coyotes, there was the LT-1, Magnum series and the 5.0. And before that? Well…you were either raiding musclecars of their heartbeat or you were managing with what you could get. Twin-engine builds were a great way to get some respectable horsepower figures…one smogger 460 Ford might not cut the mustard, but two smogger 460s would at least give you a ton of torque to handle. We don’t know if 460s are being used in this twin-engine Ford that was romping in an Alberta mud bog back in 2004, but we can’t be far off of the mark with that guess. We’d love to know more about this setup…was it two independent powertrains or were they connected to a shared drive system? Picture the rear engine at full chat, with the front system at a low speed, letting the front tires dig in without just flinging mud everywhere.
