Soak in that visual for a second: a 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria prerunner. Everything but four wheel drive is present and accounted for: ‘cage, flared out fenders, suspension with good travel, skid plates, and a stout motor to run this beast (sorry, Ford guys, it’s a 6.0L GM block with an automatic.) Owner Jon Baker originally bought the Crown Vic for $500 after watching Men In Black and seeing the 1987 Crown Victoria that Agent J bombs around in. He ran it in the desert for a bit in pretty-much stock condition before killing the original engine and taking the stock suspension to the absolute limit of abuse, then had the car converted by Kibbetech Performance in Simi Valley, California into the monster you see here.
Nevermind comparisons to such vehicles as the Olds Banshee and other off-road specialty builds. This is a desert-running four-door sedan that could have all of the velour-covered luxury of a Panther platform car and whatever powertrain you could want in it. While we have no doubt that the cost of getting the “Trophy LTD” to where it sits now was worth a little bit of coin, the payoff just seems decent to us. Now, if we can just get pictures of this beast getting some serious air…
When that stirs something up…go take a cold shower BMT.
I follow them on instagram and my god this thing is cool crusie the doons in style
