This New Edge Mustang Doesn’t Have A Ford Motor, Or An LS Block. But It Will Whip A Hellcat!

Ok, ok…we’ve stirred up enough LS hate for the week. Have no fear, it’ll probably be about a week or so before the next big Chevy-swapped hatefest shows up on these pages, but for now we will back off, especially for you Ford guys who seem to have taken ire with Bowtie power under the hood. We completely get that you’re sick of the “Ford Tuff with Chevy Stuff” deal. Sure, Mod motors can crank out power, there’s always the old-school 302, and Terminator Mustangs are still worth being properly worried about. You know what isn’t so worrying? A six-cylinder New Edge-era Mustang. These things were everywhere and while I’m not a fan of 1994-2004 Mustangs at all, at least they are at the bottom of the value curve, and it’s always fun to shock someone with a boosted six cylinder. I’m sure we will get some heat because it isn’t a Ford motor under the hood (still), but if you want to make power with six cylinders in a ten-year-old Mustang, there really are two options: pay to import a Barra six from Australia, or go hunting for a Toyota 2JZ and a turbo kit!

Nice out-of-the-box thinking, but someone really needs to let him know about rear antiroll bars. While the doors will still close, preferably.
