There are wheel stands, and then there are those moments at the launch of a race that you suspect that the driver might have stepped a touch too far over the line of caution. In the case of this Fox Mustang, we suspect that this run from the Outlaw Street Car Reunion at Memphis Motorsports Park was a toe or two over the line. Driver Jimmy Dahl paired up with Cecil Whitaker’s Camaro in a first-round match and both cars went for broke: Dahl redlit, but when the boost came on the Mustang climbed the ring gear and pointed towards the moon while Whitaker went on a wild, bouncing ride that sent the Camaro over the centerline. Dahl took the win due to the “first or worst” rule, and we’re guessing that once he got out of the car he got to work on lowering the wheelie bar a bit!
