A few years ago, a small group of people came together to create an awards program for those vehicles with amazing interiors at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Our friends Marcel, Jason, and Ross were part of that crew and helped to bring attention to the inside of some of these awesome rides, which had never happened at the SEMA Show before. With all the attention at SEMA typically focused on the outside of the cars, with many of them so tinted you couldn’t even see inside if you wanted to, it was pretty easy to forget that a lot of time, money, and talent go into making a great interior.
So when TMI and the boys all came together to create the TMI Trim Awards, there were a lot of excited folks in the industry and it has become a really good program.
In the video below you are going to hear from the builder, and upholsterer, of the Best Custom Truck TMI Trim Award winning 1986 Chevrolet C10. This truck is amazing, and the interior is really something special. Check it out.
Video Description:
This 1986 Chevrolet C-10 Squarebody pickup, is owned by Earl Brignac.
Square bodies are coming in hot and this C-10 was sporting a full custom interior by the crew at MTI Automotive Designs.
The focal point of this interior was a completely re-worked dash with modern screens that somehow didn’t look out of place on this build.
Custom door panels, seats, and back wall were fully wrapped in leather and all of the trim was unique to this build.
