Money No Object: The “Orange Krush” 2009 Dodge Challenger Is Sitting On A Dealership Lot!

Money No Object: The “Orange Krush” 2009 Dodge Challenger Is Sitting On A Dealership Lot!

(Photos: Speedy’s Garage) Jay Orrand isn’t a name too familiar to BangShift, but you’ve seen his handiwork. Better known as Speedy, he is the driving force behind the ChallengerFest events that come through Bowling Green, Kentucky, and is the namesake behind Speedy’s Garage. This is the guy whose shindig is pretty much responsible for turning a certain gold brick into a slightly faster gold brick. There’s many things to know about the guy: he’s got the patience of a saint when it comes to planning an event, is absolutely ruthless on the track, and to find him, all you need to do is look for the orange…

…um, about that. Speedy’s 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T, “Orange Krush”, his easy-10-second ride, has been unloaded in favor of a Hellcat. It’s not too much of a surprise to see that Orrand jumped ship, but unfortunately, it meant that Orange Krush had to be traded in to facilitate the deal, and that means that there is a dealership in Missouri that has a weapon on their lot. Surely, you BangShifters don’t possibly know anyone who could use a late-model, ten-second street car with a stick, do you? (Don’t say me, I don’t have the bones to go snap that car up!)

The list of what is going on with Orange Krush is rather lengthy, but here’s a good rundown: under the hood is a 6.0L Arrington mill fortified with a Magnuson supercharger that will wake you right up. Backing it is a Barton-stirred, cryotreated Tremec TR6060 built by RPM Transmissions that was yanked from Sam Uthman’s Challenger when Uthman decided to convert to an automatic. A McLeod RXT clutch keeps the engine and trans on relatively good speaking terms. A Baer Brakes Pro Kit brake system clamps down on the fun when needed. And that’s just what we can fit in for parts…there’s an equal amount of dress-up, including a Black Cat Customs gauge faces, the most recent addition to the Challenger.

Somebody at that lot has to know what this car is all about. If not, they’re gonna scare the hell out of themselves. If you are in the market for a daily driver that can get your blood pumping, look no further. And yes, the car still has every last goody attached…

Yes that Dealership knows what they have. That dealer sells ALOT of Challengers and Chargers.People from all over the US buy from Lee Brown and the gang.If I were not trying to be a responsible adult Speedys car would be in my driveway.Must resist.

“All it’s parts are still attached” Ya, right! Have you ever worked at a dealership? Parts get swapped out all the time, some with managements knowledge, some without.. U/C’s are fair game.
