Who Needs Subtlety When you Have A Tilt-Body, Big Block 1986 Dodge Daytona?

Who Needs Subtlety When you Have A Tilt-Body, Big Block 1986 Dodge Daytona?

If you are into sleepers, look away. If you cringe every time your ride draws a crowd of people who have more than a few questions, back out now. This 1986 Dodge Daytona does a lot of things, but it does not do “subtle” well. Ok, it doesn’t do “subtle” at all whatsoever. Just seeing it parked would cause a commotion: it’s tubbed, rear-drive swapped, and that’s a 1967 Chrysler 440 sticking up out of the hood. Nevermind that it’s dark purple (PPG Deltron black with a violet pearl), full-on Pro Fairgrounds style, and probably has one of the baddest exhaust at idle sounds you’ve heard in a while. Nevermind how long it’s been since you’ve seen a 1986 Daytona anywhere in any condition. But just wait…the party hasn’t even started yet.

Just in case you wanted a better look at the 440, or the 727 backing it, or just about any other part of this Daytona, the front clip and the entire body tilt up. Because…well, because why the hell not? We know this thing isn’t going to get raced ever, but c’mon…those seats look comfortable enough for a drive. Would you cruise it, or even go near it? You already know what I’d do. Hello, Power Tour!daytona cdaytona ddaytona e

So it’s a street going Funny Car? Not funny!

Yeah that’s getting attention anywhere. Too nice to race, so cruise it and win trophies. That’s Fun
