Suffering From Snow Worries? This 6×6 Suzuki Samurai Will Save Your Sorry Hide!

Suffering From Snow Worries? This 6×6 Suzuki Samurai Will Save Your Sorry Hide!

We are heading quickly from the colorful and crisp Autumn season to what I casually refer to as the “cold, gray bucket of suck” that is winter. (Ok, Brian Gordon from Fowl Language Comics coined that one up, but I approve of that phrase fully.) Why do I dislike winter so much? Easy answer: I’m loathe being cold. I can sweat until I start seeing pink elephants flying around and be happy, but if I get cold, every last bone I’ve broken wakes up and starts bitching, I have to dress up like I’m smuggling bootleg sweaters across the border, and I get sick at the drop of a hat. And nevermind if it snows or ices over, like Kentucky tends to do. Ever since I sold my Ramcharger off seven years ago, I haven’t owned a vehicle that is truly worth a crap in the snow.

Maybe this would be a solid remedy…a six-by-six Suzuki Samurai. For a snow-runner, I wouldn’t be asking much…a heater, a method of propulsion, and a better-than-normal bet on making it around the rolling hillside of Kentucky without succumbing to snowdrifts, icy conditions or floodwaters checks off the list. What better way to do that than with this rolling mini-tank? The contraption looks like a Sami was mated to an Argo six-by-six ATV, which is perfectly fine in our eyes. It’s powered by a four-cylinder diesel, operates via twin sticks like a tank, and far as we can tell, just needs a top to close off the open section of the little SUV to be perfect. Small but mighty, just put a winch at each end and you’d be freaking unstoppable. Pulling stuck Super Duty pickups out of ditches would never be more satisfying, either.
