The normal Aussie burnout machine is usually one of two makes: it’s either a Ford of Australia product, or it’s General Motors’ Australian division, Holden. It never fails…you are guaranteed to see Falcons, Commodores, Utes, Toranas, Fairmonts, and so on and so forth laying waste to the rears on skid pads all across that continent. Occasionally you’ll see a Japanese nameplate, or the occasional Mopar, but more often than not it’s the Great Aussie Automotive battle between Ford and Holden, which makes today’s Would You Rather question an interesting one: we have found two non-Aussie vehicles that we would have never expected to see on a burnout pad, filmed by Flinty460. They’re both colloquially known as Mercs, and that’s about all they have in common with each other. One is a 1960’s slab-side barge with an iron lung, the other is an European luxo-coupe with rood-rage and the worst nickname possible. Take your pick, folks!
