When we added cartoonish nose art to our F-Bomb Camaro it created a bit of a stir. It wasn’t at all a new idea, but perhaps it was one that had not been seen in while or that hadn’t been used on a musclecar-era ride. Back in the ’40s it was sometimes seen on hot rods and was more frequently used not just on planes, but also on jeeps during WWII.
It was probably the hot rodding inspiration that motivated this guy to tribute the Nailhead Buick in caricature on the side of his Model A. Its seen here in photos by Lohnes. Anyone else have any good examples? Post photos!
