While searching Craigslist, after talking about one of Brian and I’s several hair brained ideas, I found the perfect Vette for him. When i say perfect, I mean truly perfect. After all, who better to won a diesel Vette than Brian? He almost fell over when I showed it to him, and was soon after laughing like a little girl ready to open presents at Christmas. A diesel powered Vette? Within moments I was having to offer him water, and threatening to lock his wallet in the hotel room safe.
I think the CAT graphics are an excellent touch, although I’m not sure I would classify the whole thing as “restored” like the seller does. At 53 miles per gallon, the diesel really makes this thing efficient, and we’re impressed.
Wait a second…
Did you think we meant that Brian wanted a CORvette? Sorry, we meant CHEvette.
I think a 4BT in this bad boy would make it a riot. What do you think?
The cab lights did it for me!……………… NOT!
I notice Craigslist sellers have started throwing around the term “restored” in their ads lately.
A 4BT is always a great idea, but a LB7 Duramax will fit a lot better. Cummins engines are really tall. A rustolium “restored” monotone paint job would look better. I’m going to start adding “period correct” to all my CL ads from now on.
More “PUSSY” than “CAT”. Meooow! Cough…(hairball)
I… Ummm… Wow…
Yeah, that’s interesting.
Interesting is a good word, not the first one that springs to mind, but good enough.
Chevettes came with tilt steering columns??? Awesome!
3½hp @ 1244rpm
4lb.-ft. torque@ 560rpm
0-60mph in 2.8days.
top speed 61mph
4 Words: 24 Hours of Lemons.
My fathers first new car, a 1984 chevette with the diesel motor and a 5 speed manual transmission. This thing would almost break traction if you brought it up to 2500RPM and dumped the clutch on glare ice. Oh the memories lol
I like mine better, No bite in the sno tho
3 grand for this hunk of shit??? I think the paint fumes addled his brain….
