This 1977 Chevrolet Vega GT Is Clean And Cool As Is, But Imagine If You…

Vegas are cool. When Chevrolet came out with them and the Monza, along with several other little GM variants, it didn’t take long for folks to realize that the little packages made for awesome hot rods. Of course GM knew that some folks might want sportier versions of these little rides, so they came out with the GT with different power offerings and also the cool Cosworth Vega line. This one is a 6 cylinder GT, which I’m sure is cool but we sure would love to do some engine swapping on this one.

Here is all the info from the seller: CLICK HERE TO SEE THE ORIGINAL AD

I am selling my 1977 Chevy Vega GT V6 in good shape, It features
a good V6 built by a race car mechanic and has an 3 speed automatic
transmission. Car includes a set of 4 additional wheels and tiles, 2
drag racing tires and rims, spare distributor, tale lights and other
parts. I bought this to be as a hobby but my brain cancer got in the
way so I must sell it.

11,500 obo
No low balls or financing

Hey Realdeal, my brother died of brain cancer, and your making a joke out of the seller’s medical condition, I hope that karma comes and bites you in the ass on this. Realdeal, you are a real asshole!

Hi guys, I’m Tracy Dave‘s wife. I would really like to get this car out of my driveway, could you let me know what a fair price would be?

Were the door hinges still being welded on in the later models? It says automatic, but that sure looks like a standard shifter to me. And Patrick, Pintos didn’t have their pistons going up and down the cylinder walls by 25,000 miles…

Look again there is a thumb button in the middle of the knob to shift between gears. Automatic all the way.

Chevrolet never made a V-6 Vega. This is a homemade engine swap. Notice the universal fit radiator hose and lack of a fan shroud.

I hope that Dave the seller of the Vega beats his brain cancer, my only brother died of brain cancer and everyday I still think of him every day.
And assholes like Realdeal shouldn’t be mocking people with cancer!

Sorry for the loss of your brother internet tough guy I lost my dad to cancer I wasn’t making fun of him just stating he isnt in his right mind

Transmission shifted fine yet the engine was a experiment by GM my Vega wouldn\’t start Christmas day after checking compression I tore engine down then revelled cylinder walls couldn\’t be repaired therefore I took car to salvage yard GM should have replaced engine for all owners free of charge

I’m not trying to mock the guy but I think its funny that when someone has done something to the motor like have someone rebuild it , its always done by a “master mechanic with 40 years experience” or a ” racecar mechanic” or if the guy did it himself they always put “The car has been maintained by me, a master mechanic”. I’m sure there are some guys that truly have had someone rebuild the motor or maintain the car themselves but why would you have a racecar mechanic rebuild a v6?? to stock specs?? ( which is what it looks like to me)
