After a dramatic 2009 that found all their assets for sale on the auction block, Crane Cams rose from the ashes like a Phoenix and spent 2010 dusting themselves off and getting back to work. The result is a bigger, badder, and more capable Crane Cams. For 2011, Crane Cams has brought back all the products you’ve grown up knowing and trusting, but with even better materials, machining, and all of them made here in America.
We’re glad to see serious improvements in the famed Crane Gold Rocker arms, through completely new single fixture CNC Machining Processes, improved extrusions, trunnion and roller tip improvements and more. Crane’s product line includes all the high performance parts you expect, without any of the low dollar, low performance parts you don’t want. With over 2800 part numbers, custom cam grinding service, and a great series of new lifters, they have all the parts you grew up loving, but with even more power and durability.
Crane’s improved Mechanical Roller Lifters include hardened steel tie bars for increase reliability over stainless steel tie bars, 8620 steel bodies, nitrided axles and bearings, and much improved oiling capabilities. Crane insists that their lifters are engineered for each specific engine family, and include oiling modifications that address 55 and 60mm cams as needed.
Crane continues to manufacture all parts here in the USA, and has custom cam grinding and design service available for your combination. To find out more about the new Crane, including great technical advice, and a comprehensive online catalog, visit www.cranecams.com.
