We love Pro Street, and think it deserves a second chance! So be the first on your street with a new Pro Street car. This one reminds us of Matt and Debbie Hays Olds Ciera for some reason, although this one is going to need some serious induction help to keep up with their alcohol swilling blow combo. The chassis looks like it’s a sticker away from certification though, and with enough nitrous, boost, or both, this one could be a drag week contender. Even if all you did was come out and run 9’s this is one cool little car that would get some attention. According to the owner it only weighs 2200 lbs, so going quick isn’t going to be an issue.
The $20,000 current bid isn’t bad considering it has a built 406 in it with AFR heads, Dart Wilson Intake, Dynatech headers, Demon Carb, Eagle Rotating Assembly, and more. Plus, the chassis features some great parts. The truth is, this car seems to have been put together by someone who knew what they were doing. It’s clean for sure.
Go buy it and invite us to come play with it once you pick it up. Hell, it’s in Tucson which isn’t that far from us. We’ll come out and check it out with you.
Oh, and did we mention a 70 year old man owns it. We love that.
Cool car, but it’s not a Grand Prix, it’s a Grand Am…
Probably one of the few ’86 Grand Am still left on the road.
If you look up the word “dated” in an automotive dictionary, this car is pictured in figure A.
…yeah, but some of the young pups don’t even know what it is,….. dated – yes….put a flat hood, or at least a small, bubbled hood, & it’ll be a definite sleeper….’til ya start it up!
Yup, Grand Am for sure. Slightly altered, but in a good way! LOL!
The Grand Am is a good modern version of a Pro Street car. I like it.
That would look super sexy with a twin turbo LSX under the hood.
