eBay Find: A Real Deal VW Bug Funny Car From The ’60s With Small Block Power

eBay Find: A Real Deal VW Bug Funny Car From The ’60s With Small Block Power

When I decided to look for a cool Nostalgia car for an eBay pick in honor of the New England Hot Rod Reunion, I never expected to find a real deal VW Beetle Funny Car with a small block in it. And I would have never expected it to actually have history here in the States, Scotland, and Switzerland, but it does. I wish there were more pictures, but from what we can see this thing was most certainly built in the ’60s and screams cool. For $18,500 you can start bidding, but keep in mind there is shipping from Switzerland. But also keep in mind nobody, and we mean NOBODY will have one of these at any race or show you attend.

According to the ad the paint, chassis, and injected small block are all original to the car and it starts right up. From the picture, we believe it.

Somebody send this dude an email and get more info. Better yet, somebody buy it and we’ll get you tires and brakes so we can come do burnouts in it.

I had a matchbox car like that, it was orange. Loved that thing…this car is bad ass, tasty vintage parts…would sure bring a crowd to your spot in the pits.
