Ebay Find: Award Winning Super Double Bitchin’ Ford F-100 Pickup You Need

Ebay Find: Award Winning Super Double Bitchin’ Ford F-100 Pickup You Need

Cowboy David Woods, of Winged Express fame, sent us an email the other day telling us that he is selling his super double bitchin’ 1954 Ford F-100 pickup. And it’s not just some standard F-100 either, it’s won more trophies than the bed can carry, including the top spot at all 32 National shows that it attended in it’s first couple years after being finished by builder Rick Federmeyer. We’ve seen it in person, it’s been featured in multiple magazines, and it’s amazing. Ford even chose it for the inaugural Best Ford in a Ford award in 2005. Oh, and it’s a driver too. Take it out, play with it, tell us all about it. But only after you place the winning bid.

As we right this on Sunday morning, the bidding is at $44,500 and hasn’t met the reserve. We don’t have any inside info on what the reserve is, but if this truck sells for less than $175,000 you have saved money. How you ask? Because there is NO WAY any builder will build this same truck for less than that. No way.

CLICK HERE, OR ON THE PHOTOS BELOW, TO GO TO THE EBAY AD AND TO PLACE YOUR BIDS. YOU’VE ONLY GOT UNTIL 1PM PACIFIC TIME TO PLACE YOUR BID!!!

The truck drives as well as it looks!!! I’ve heard all the stories from folks that it was ‘over done’ , ‘could have been done different’, …. but the truth is, the truck is like ‘artwork’ … not everyone is going to get excited about it when they see the picture… but when they look at the craftsmanship in the detail of the ‘build’ …. they stp back and admire the truck for what it is! A true, ‘handbuilt’ hot rod truck…. Thanks for the ‘bump’ on your site!!! See you guys soon!!

Over done ? Could have been done different ……… who ever said that more than likely owns a Chevy Nova 4 door with really shiny Wal-Mart hub caps . When I built this truck I built to look like it came that way from the factory ……. everything has it’s reason and it is all a functional part of the build . I drove this truck when I owned it like it was the family pick up . I actually did a few laps at the local high speed raceway and was amazed that it was a bit faster and as tight as the super stocker I ran years ago ……. even on air bags ! In all my years of doing custom builds I have never seen anybody at a car show spend more than a minute looking at a custom car/truck , most people stop and say ” wow nice paint job , cool wheels , clean engine and move on . Nemesis would have them take a little longer look and start to ask tons of questions …… hell I have watched guys try to crawl under the truck to try and get a look at all the detail and mechanics of her . Ok I’m bias but to say ” could have been done different ” I would do it it again exactly the same way …… Ok I might put some ” different” rims on it next time 😉
