In tonight’s PowerShift episode, LIVE here on BangShift.com at 6pm Pacific, we are going to talk about some of the crap on TV, but why is it that the car shows we are forced to live with are some of the worst offenders on the airwaves? Apparently this 1977 Trans Am was built on the “Car Warriors” show on SPEED. And I’m not sure what pisses me off more about it, the “real” flames or the fact that I’m somehow promoting SPEED’s crap content.
Anyway, you be the judge on how bad it is. I think it’s real bad. There is no question that the folks building the car have skill, but the taste is something we just can’t figure out. Want to add this bad boy to your collection? You’ve got 5 1/2 days to buy it! If you do, can we jump it?

The first picture skew’s the porportions, but I don’t think it looks terrible. Certainly have seen much much worse.
I don’t mind the exterior. Flaming the interior seems a little silly.
I’d paint it black and rock out with my mullet and jean jacket listening to journey!
Not a fan of “real flames”. Looks like somebody vomited up a blue slurpy on the car.
I don’t get it. I mean, a 77 Trans Am is a pretty good looking car. Why would you go and mess it up by cutting the top off and painting flames everywhere. Do this to a Prius, at least they look like butt to start with.
the cut line f*d up the car’s lines – does not follow the body line. If you can’t do it right, please don’t. The car would need pretty severe surgery to be done right, not something that will get done in 72 minutes.
I vote no. Just leave it alone – I saw the straight axle first gen Mustang they did and said “That’s enough.”
oh – the flames. Fail.
The link doesn’t work for me, but who cuts the roof off an unibody car? I hope they added subframe ties. The “real” flame trend was a trend that is past. Go away.
The interior flames fall into the misnomer of if a little is good, a whole bunch must be great. NOT!! A little is good, a whole is just gaudy.
Real flames is just what that car needs.
No, really, get a gallon of gas, a match, and light that mess up.
Nothing that comes from these horrid “car” shows suprises me…..I take that back one thing that WOULD suprise me would be if they built something that looked good and was relevant…..
It is ugly but it shows a lot of hard work. Just poor taste. At least it is not a “Rat Rod” I hate those things.
the 1977 model was a Keeper just the way it came from the local dealer…..maybe add a supercharger, and 3 two-barrels , and…….well hell….i have a Collector model Harley in my kitchen that i butchered and hot rodded also……..ummmmm, so i got a rock in my hand and no where to throw it……
For $24,000.00 they better offer to paint it factory black, put the original “fire chicken” decal on the hood, and put the roof back on it!!
Crack pipe!
a great barn find in 40 years
