This is curious. We found a seller on eBay who is peddling 2007 Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags windshield decals, and it seems he has at least a small stock of them. We’re not sure who this is or how he or she may have gotten the decals, put there’s a pretty solid clue in the fact that the seller is located in Germantown, Tennessee and also sells items from Comp Cams, FAST, and TCI. By power of deduction, these decals were leftovers from Comp Cams.

The selling of the PGD window banners raises a moral question, as the decals were intended just for the actual competitors and volunteers who were actually invited to the event. If that does not describe you, is it cool to stick one of these on your car? How about in your shop or on your toolbox?

Obviously, many, many vintage dragstrip “participant” decals are reproduced today, and many guys who put them on their cars were not even born by the time some of the tracks closed. But 2007? It seems a bit too recent.
