2016 Mopar Nats Gallery: Mopars Shining In The Glory Of A Lovely Saturday Morning!

2016 Mopar Nats Gallery: Mopars Shining In The Glory Of A Lovely Saturday Morning!

By all accounts, our first day at the 2016 Mopar Nats was a success: I had driven over five hours from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Hebron, Ohio and only managed to knock my alignment out slightly in Cincinnati (that, of itself, is a miracle), get through the gate, get some good photos, and get out before the mass exodus to Brice Road that I only learned about three hours after I got home Saturday evening. I took some time off to catch up with an Army friend over dinner, then made the drive to the hotel, where I managed to stay awake for about a half-hour before I conked out for the night.

The next morning, as I drove back to National Trail Raceway, I couldn’t help but notice that the thunderstorms and rain that had been threatening the forecast since before I left Kentucky were nowhere to be found. It was all sunshine and puffy white clouds as far as the eye could see, so as soon as I finished fast-talking my way to a parking spot that wasn’t a quarter-mile hike from the entrance to the show, the camera came out and the shutter started clicking. If a car is black, silver or any “normal” color, it’ll look good nearly whatever the weather, but when you have High Impact colors and shades like Winchester Gray and Moon Indigo, you want bright sunshine. The cars on the field did not disappoint, so off it was to find the best and the brightest, which you can see by clicking on a photo below!
