The LS fans got their chance, now it’s time for the Blue Oval brigade to take over Beech Bend Raceway Park! The 2016 NMRA All-Ford World Finals have kicked off, and the cars are out in force at the track. Temperatures were hovering in the low sixty degree range today, but while the thermometer will climb as the weekend progresses, it’s nowhere near the typical summer temperatures that we usually see at the track, and it’s nowhere near as humid. NMRA has brought out their track prep personnel to make sure that everything goes smoothly, and the racers were out in force taking some early test hits at the track. If the weather can keep it together, there should be some great conditions…and there are plenty of cars that are more than ready to take advantage of them. In addition to the legions of Mustangs, there’s Mavericks, Fairmonts, and even a stompin’ old Ford truck raising hell at the little track in the fields here in Kentucky. We stopped in for a quick gallery and saw plenty of action while more and more trailers were pouring into the gates.
