The BAJA 1000 is one of the most impressive off-road races on the planet. I’ve been lucky enough to attend and would definitely go back in a heartbeat. Starting and ending in Ensenada in 2025, this year is the 58th running of the race that takes crazy and devoted racers through all kinds of horrible terrain in an effort to prove who’s the best of the best. We’re talking about everything from 1,000 horsepower Trophy Trucks that have suspension travel measured in feet, all the way down to Class 11 VW Bugs that have nothing but a set of off-road tires and some lights bolted to them. There are dozens of classes for cars, trucks, and bikes and I think it would be an epic race to compete in.
