John Jackson and I agree on many things, and which Goodguys Car Show is the best is one of them. For decades I have said that the Heartland Nationals in Des Moines Iowa is the best Goodguys car show on the planet. The Iowa State Fairgrounds are awesome, with roads inside the fairgrounds to cruise, actual restaurants with patios and bars you can hang out in while watching cars cruise by, a huge autocross area, big circle track, sky trams, and more. This place is awesome, and if Goodguys was smart they would make Des Moines the location for all their major awards rather than Columbus Ohio.
But that’s just my opinion and they haven’t listened to it for the last 18 years so I doubt they will now. LOL
In the video below from John Jackson at Not Stock Photography, you’ll get a taste of what it is that we love so much about Des Moines.
Video Description:
Rain couldn’t even dampen the spirit of everyone cruising around the Iowa State Fairgrounds in DesMoines Iowa this past weekend.
It was pretty crazy how packed it was from Thursday all the way to Sunday especially on Friday the 4th it was cruising room only on a hot Iowa summer day.
We got a little behind photographing cars on Saturday night so I had to knock out the bulk of them on Sunday, but we got everything done in time for the winners to be in winners circle.
If you get a chance to only attend one @GoodguysRodandCustom Event, make it Iowa you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for watching!
