(Photos by Darryl Daniels) Australians may drive on the wrong side of the car, but around here we think they are definitely on the right side of hot rodding. The Australian hot rod scene is alive and well, and since their summer is our winter or something like that they are enjoying sunny weather, car shows, cruise nights, and shop open houses. Leepoofest 2015 is the First Annual open house at Leepoo Chassis and Hot Rod Engineering and based on what they have going on it the shop and parked outside we say the Leepoo gang is BangShift Approved.
Here’s what our Australian on the street Darryl Daniels had to say about the show.
“Darryl here again with a report from the very first “Leepoofest” in South Australia. I spent an enjoyable couple of hours at Leepoo Chassis and hotrod Engineering , who put on an impromtu rod meet for their customers and anyone else that happened to be passing by. some classy work coming out of this place and their customers were showing off some of their work. If this is the standard for the first “fest” then the next ones going to be a ball tearer! I met some people from far and wide while I was there and the common interests were Rods. A sheep on the spit kept the hoards fed and amber fluid was disappearing faster than a 5 second funnycar. Kids ,dogs ,mums infact everyone was having a ball and the startups of a blown boat soon had the boys attention , every now and then. Some rods in progress were everywhere and after looking at some of their work , I think I might have some work for them soon on my own rod. They do some great work , from what I saw. Anyway mate some attached photos will show you more . Cheers! Darryl Daniels”
