Donut Derelicts is one of Southern California’s most famous weekly cruise spots and it happens early in the morning in an average looking shopping center in Huntington Beach. Most weekends the show gets so packed, so quickly, that people overflow to the parking lot across the street. But if you end up across the street, you are definitely not part of the show. People pack the donut shop for donuts and coffee, wander through the parking lot looking at all the cool cars and trucks, and sit around bench racing and shooting the bull in the early morning hours. This time of year, people are showing up when it is still dark.
And no matter when you go, Donut Derelicts will be a little bit different. There are certainly cars and folks that can be considered “regulars”, but there is still something new each and every time. We shot over 100 photos of cool cars on site this weekend and have split them into two galleries for you to enjoy. The first one is below.
