Event Coverage: Part Two Of The Nashville Auto Fest: More Cars, And Some Good Items For Sale

Walking around the Nashville Auto Fest is exactly what someone who has cabin fever needs. In addition to the rolling eye candy, plenty of vendors were on-hand with plenty of parts available, from guys who had collections of classic wheels, to NOS parts hoarders who were willing to sell, and everything in between. Tri-Power Pontiac intake manifolds sat next to 1969 Camaro hideaway headlight front clips. People were walking out the door with fenders under their arms. And the show isn’t so big that you can’t take it all in, either. Unless you’re really spending some time digging through the parts collections, you could make your way around the entire show area in about two hours. But then, you’d miss out on a lot of items and treasures that are available.

Twins! These two Novas had crowds around them all day long…except for the half-second it took to get this picture.

A short-nosed Econoline makes for a great rolling billboard and bike hauler.

From Micro Machines on up, there were plenty of scaled-down models to choose from. These two “beaters” caught my eye.

A gorgeous 1961 Impala. Not the lowest car there, but close.

We like work trucks around here, but this Chevrolet has had a pretty comfy life.

This Turbo Trans Am had four digit mileage and dealer-brochure looks. Tempting…

More toy cars! There were a good amount of older pieces available. One of the more interesting pieces found was a Nylint Dodge van with a sliding door.

A one-owner 1975 GMC “Gentleman Jim” Sierra. This thing is in absolutely perfect condition.

This 1969 Charger was not in perfect condition. But it was for sale. If you were bold enough to take on this Dodge’s rust issues, you could buy it. I wisely moved on.
