My wife found this event. It would be on the same day as some other stuff we had to do around Nashville, we had the time, and there would be exotic cars so we had to go! I shrugged…why not? Cars and Coffee events are springing up like crazy lately because they work: anything can come out and show off in the morning at a pre-determined spot and if the public stops by and takes a good look at your car, all the better. Most Cars and Coffee shows I’ve seen are small, with maybe thirty cars showing up at any given location.
Oh, how I was wrong with this one. Cars were everywhere. We parked close, but not in, what was the car show area and went walking around. One lap in, and I had to return to my car for a moment and it had been surrounded by show cars: a Lamborghini to my left, a ’73 ‘Cuda to my right. Car clubs were pouring in. If you looked down the aisles, you’d see muscle cars idling toward a parking spot, a Ferrari revving up, and a Nissan 240SX club getting their cars organized. There was even a TVR 280i, one of the very few TVR’s ever imported into the United States.
We left before things got way out of hand, but here’s a taste of what’s hidden in the hills around Nashville.
