The first Road Tour Express of 2011 is about to kick off, West Coast Style! BangShift.com is leading one team to fame and glory in the land of movie stars, paparazzi, and red carpets, and want you to join us. We’re taking team member submissions now and will be announcing team participant winners January 11th. It promises to be a fun and exciting adventure, with fame and prizes on the table. And even if you aren’t chosen for the team, or you don’t want to be an “official” participant, you are welcome to cruise along with us an enjoy the sites, sounds, and fun.
Can’t make it to LA? Don’t worry, there are 6 more Road Tour Express events planned for 2011, and they are coming to an event near you. Read all about the Road Tour Express below, but know this. Chad Reynolds from BangShift.com is going to be our team leader. He’ll map out a route that is fun and easy to drive so that each driver/navigator team won’t need to take more than one day of their time to complete their portion of the relay. We’ll be making the handoff locations super killer as well. With places like the NHRA Motorsports Museum, Justice Brothers Museum, Terminal Island and more right here in our back yard, the photo ops are going to be great. Plus, you never know what kind of surprise coolness could be coming your way as part of Team BangShift.

What is the Road Tour Express? It’s a fun excuse to drive your hot rod! The Road Tour Express pits two teams of 4 driver and 4 navigators against each other in a 4 day relay along some of the countries coolest highways and country roads. The goal? Get your teams “package” delivered to the next set of drivers and navigators on your team so they can continue on to the next destination. The “package” consists of all the technological gadgetry you could possible need to document your fun adventure in real time, while it happens.
Each day one driver and navigator will drive their hot rod between 50 and 100 miles to the next destination where they will hand off the package. A simple challenge will also be issued each day. For example, we might make you take a picture of a farm animal, or a monument. Each day’s Challenge is issued by one of the Road Tour Express Sponsors, and the team that completes each Challenge in the most fun and creative way will win prizes from the Sponsors.
The photos you take during your adventure will be posted online immediately thanks to the wonders of modern technology, and your video will be collected and made into an online web show at the end of the event.
Online viewers and readers will be able to follow all the action at RoadTourExpress.com as well as here on BangShift.com. Once the web show airs the voting begins. Teams are then encouraged to get their friends and fellow forum members together and cast their votes for the most fun and creative teams. After voting, the prizes are awarded and you could be a winner.
