The 10 days that make up King of the Hammers is insane, not just because there are thousands of people that move onto the lake bed in Johnson Valley for days and days worth of off-road racing, but also because a ton of them are spectators that just bring their own rides out to have fun with and cruise as well. It’s the wild west in real life, and while there are a ton of cool rigs that you might expect at your average off-road spot, there are also a bunch of them that are things you’ve never seen before. It’s a riot for everyone on site, and just checking out all the cool rides that aren’t racing is enough. The race trucks, Jeeps, and buggies are bad ass, but there is a lot more to see than just race vehicles.
So much so that the Toyota World Runners channel does their annual tour of rigs video to show off some of the ones that caught their eye. This just scratches the surface on what is there, because you couldn’t possibly catch all the cool stuff, but what they get is awesome and you’ll dig it.
