Bonneville Speed Week 2012 Day Four: More Records, Sicilio Runs 208, and We Fix Stuff

Bonneville Speed Week 2012 Day Four: More Records, Sicilio Runs 208, and We Fix Stuff

Wow!!! We have had a hell of a day here on the salt for day four of Bonneville Speed Week 2012. We slept very little again last night, and then overslept slightly this morning, but still made it out to take more photos of the cars that were in impound waiting for their chance to backup their qualifying runs from yesterday and hopefully take home Bonneville records. With Randal “The Silver Buick” Burns driving us around in his Buick convertible, we were able to snap off cool morning photos of the cars pulling to the line before running off to get on track action shots including Speed Demon who was running a record run prior to another engine change for yet another record attempt!  Then we worked on Lee Socilio’s Daytona a bit, made another run with it, and helped some other dudes who were having issues on their Megasquirt equipped lakester. Wooooooooohhhhhhh we’re getting tired just thinking about it again. So…here are another bunch of photos for you to check out in our first of two galleries for the day. We would have had them up earlier, but also had to run to town for a new inverter to keep our computers and internet working. Damn technology.

Just wait for the next gallery. It’s going to be epic. Trust us.

So glad I found your site, its great, but makes me sick that I’m unable to be there. Where can I find who has run and what records ,if any broken. Very interested in Poteet & Main”Speed Demon”, also friend of mine George Michel a rookie this year with a corvette.
Thanks for the site ,photos etc. its the next best thing next to being there……Joe
