This past weekend’s SCTA Meet at El Mirage Dry Lake wasn’t as big as usual due to the close proximity to Bonneville Speed Week which is only three weeks away. But what it lacked in total numbers, it made up for with GIANT vehicles running, including a 108.801 mph motorhome. Yep, an actual motorhome. Apparently the team is working on certification as we speak, but was running time only. We are not sure what class a motorhome fits into, but whatever it is we want in. Seriously. We want in.
Thanks to our dude of all things land speed, Zane McNary at landspeedphotos.com, we have great photos for you to check out. Think of this as your teaser for what is coming in a few weeks. We’ll have the most insane Bonneville coverage ever with THREE TIMES as many people there this year for BangShift.com. Instead of just Chad, it’s going to be Brian Lohnes and Zane helping out with photos, features, and more. We can’t wait.
Hmmm…..a FWD, air ride motorhome with a 455 Olds?? I wonder how many hundred feet of tubing it takes to build a cage?? lol
