PRI 2014, aka the Performance Racing Industry Show 2014, is like mecca for race car guys. No place else in the world has a cooler variety of race parts and race cars, all in one place where you can look, touch, and sometimes even test them. We’re huge fans of this show, not only because the latest are greatest are debuted here, but also because the mix of stuff is just so cool. It’s kind of like sensory overload because on one isle you can see a Dirt Late Model, a Pro Mod Car, a Midget, a 24 Hours of LeMans Prototype Car, and a record setting Bonneville Land Speed Car. On one row! And we’ve got your first taste of photos of all that stuff right here.
It’s funny, because at most events we go to we are wanting to get into cars because they look cool or whatever, but here at PRI 2014 you look at some of these cars that you never get to see close up and it really makes you think about what it must be like to drive some of these beasts. Imagine hanging it out at Eldora Speedway behind the wheel of a winged Sprint Car. How cool would that be? Or what about running the Prototype car at Sebring? Or LeMans, or Daytona?
All that stuff is here, at every level of racing, and the parts that go with them are epic. We’ll be bringing you more photos of the race cars that are here, plus a bunch of new product announcements, over the next several days. Until then, check out our first gallery of photos that will make you wish you were here hanging out with all of us cool kids.
