Had I known that at some point in time Pro 2 trucks were going to be raising hell in the Ford Out Front drift pit/arena, I would have sectioned off a set of time to go see it. You see, watching the Trophy Trucks and Class 1 buggies out at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was fun, and riding with Roger Norman in his pre runner F-150 was amazing, but we’ve been captivated seeing what these four-wheeled badasses are doing on asphalt racecourses! Jumps, saves, drifting, and tire smoke are the norm for these monsters and seeing them let loose in the huge expanse of asphalt that Ford gets every year in front of the convention center had to have drawn a crowd. There’s only so much Mustang drifting you can watch before you need a palate cleanser…so how does a full-race Ford truck work for your palate? Screaming V8 noise, tire smoke and air time included at no extra charge!
Burnouts are cool in anything, even throphy trucks. HELL YEAH!!!
I ran across the huge lot on Friday when I heard that and caught it just as those first two were almost done and saw that last truck, But there was a show on Thursday where the one truck went over that jump side to side and got great air.
