A few weeks ago we posted this item, but now there’s some cool video (below) to see.

Already the fastest Cadillac powered vehicle in history, the Spectre Speedliner just went 415.7 miles per hour at Mike Cook’s Landspeed Shootout, presented by Loctite, at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Mike Cook Sr. and Jr. have been keeping us up to date on the weeks activities, and records have been falling. Amir and the Spectre crew have been going hot all week but broke their big motor on Tuesday. The small 484 cubic inch Caddy is now in the car, and they are going after Al Teague’s record from 2002 which is 409 mph. Spectre’s record qualifying run had incrementals that looked like they would definitely be in the book, but on their record return run the car just shut off. They are currently thrashing and hoping to find a simple fix so they can go out and try and run the number again today.

Their incrementals for their qualifying run were 401.8 entry speed, 408.9 in the flying mile, 409.1 in the flying kilo, and 415.7 exit speed. When they get the car back running and out on the salt, all eyes will be on the big black Caddy for sure.
