Goodwood is an automotive event like none other. Think F1 race meets PGA Golf Tournament meets the Oscars. It’s a social event, a be seen event, and a racing event all in one. Besides food and drink and art and lots of pretty people, the stars of the show are the bitchin rides that take a turn at hauling ass up the driveway. Okay, calling it the driveway might belittle this winding road, but that really is what it is. The difference between this one and yours is that it is the driveway for a 12,000 acre estate. Over the years some of the most iconic cars in racing, motorsport, and automotive history in general have made their presence known on the famed grounds of Goodwood. And some have hurt afterward. It is not uncommon to lose a few to the grass and trees and ditches when drives get a little excited shall we say.
But that’s part of it. And it really is an epic event where you’ll see all kinds of cars, including stuff that was never intended for curvy roads.
This year is even more epic as it is the 25th Anniversary of this prestigious event.
