The Mother Road Is Ready! Are You?! The Route 66 Road Trip to The SEMA Show Is Almost Here But There Is Still Time For You To Join!

The Mother Road is Ready — Are You?

We just wrapped up the final pre-run for our Route 66 to The SEMA Show 2025 event. We covered more than 4,500 miles across nine states — twice — to fine-tune every detail. From hotels and fuel stops to photo opportunities, food, and fun, we’ve mapped it all so that when you roll out with us, all you have to do is drive and enjoy the experience.

On the Route 66 to The SEMA Show tour, the route will cover just over 2,000 miles — from the green heart of the Midwest to the high deserts of Arizona. We’ll climb to over 7,000 feet, follow winding blacktop through forgotten towns. Check-in is in Pontiac, IL, on October 27, 2025, followed by 5 days celebrating the great American roadtrip on the most iconic back road in the country.

It’s about the stories along the way — neon-lit diners, quirky roadside attractions, and stretches of pavement that have carried generations before us. Every stop along the way has been curated to capture the spirit of Route 66 and deliver the kind of memories you’ll be talking about for years.

But time is running out to register. The adventure begins in just over a month. Registration buttons are below to help you lock in your spot today on this historic event. And to provide a little nudge — mention “email” when you register and we’ll give you a free Pavement Pounder Events embroidered hat!  That’s a $25 value and a hat you’ll be proud to wear.

If you’ve already registered, great! There’s more info for you below. And forward this email to fellow gearheads so they can join the fun too!

Route 66 Stays with History

Two of our host hotels are living pieces of Route 66 history, both dating back to the 1930s. Staying in these properties isn’t just about a place to sleep — it’s about experiencing the road the way travelers did nearly a century ago.

The Blue Swallow Motel – Tucumcari, NM
With its iconic neon glow and authentic charm, the Blue Swallow Motel is one of the best-preserved examples of a classic Route 66 motel. Rooms here are limited, and they’re filling quickly. If you haven’t booked yet, don’t wait — this is one of those stays you’ll remember forever.

La Posada – Winslow, AZ
Originally built as a luxury hotel for Hollywood stars and railroad barons, La Posada still delivers elegance and history in every corner. On our recent pre-run, we learned the hard way that standard King rooms face the railroad tracks — but for just $20 more, a King Deluxe gives you a quieter, more comfortable stay. Trust us, you’ll want time to explore this architectural gem inside and out.
